GAMEDAY! The Chesterton Boys V Basketball team takes on FW Snider at Grace College, starting at 1:00 PM CST. Let's go, Trojans! Athletic Directors & Head Coaches: Good evening! We are excited for the opportunity to host each of you for the 9th Annual Champions of Character Classic on Saturday, December 13th at the Manahan Orthopedic Capital Center on the campus of Grace College! Thank you for your desire to be a part of this great day of IHSAA boys basketball as we showcase your basketball programs! We hope this event will be a great experience for your teams and fans! Coach Scott Moore and I wanted to send an email with information for this year’s classic as we get closer to December. I have attached the 2025 tournament poster and the Grace College campus map to assist with your travels to campus. 2025 Champions of Character Classic Lineup of Games: 2:00 pm – Fort Wayne Snider vs. Chesterton 3:45 pm – Blackhawk Christian vs. Warsaw 5:30 pm – Northridge vs. Brownsburg 7:15 pm – South Bend Riley vs. Homestead *Home team is listed first in BOLD letters and will wear light colored uniforms. * Snider & Chesterton - will be able to take the court at 1 pm since they are the first game of the day. Champions of Character Classic Information/Reminders: Certificate of Insurance – all participating schools must submit a certificate of insurance to participate in the Champions of Character Classic. Please email your COI to: chad.briscoe@grace.edu. Champions of Character Award – We will recognize one student athlete from each school prior to the start of each game. Coaches please email me your Champion of Character award winner at your convenience. We will take a picture of the athlete with each head coach at center court before the start of the game. Coaches/AD's – We do provide 10 comp tickets for each team. Please email me your comp ticket pass list (10 tickets) before the Saturday of the classic. I will send a reminder as we get closer next month. This list will be at the upper level main entrance for fans as they arrive. Thank you! AD's - there will be a sign in sheet for you and Principals at the upper level main entrance if you are able to attend next Saturday. Basketballs - teams need to bring their own balls for warm ups. Grace will provide a game ball. Team Med Kit - Each team will need to bring their own med kit. Grace Head Athletic Trainers will be on site the entire day to take care of any athletic training needs. Team Entrance - all teams enter through the lower concourse entrance (door #2). You will be greeted and taken to your locker room. If you arrive early you are more than welcome to sit in the arena and wait until a locker room opens up. Athletes will need to bring towels if they wish to shower after the games. Live Streaming - There will be live streaming of each game for the 2025 Champions of Character Classic. The cost for the live stream will be $10.00. The link to watch and purchase: www.gclancers.com/live Radio Coverage - If you have local media/radio covering your game please have them communicate with Josh Neuhart (Asst. AD/SID) at neuharjd@grace.edu. Please make sure they make contact as soon as possible. Tickets - The general admission ticket cost is $10.00 per ticket for this year’s event. Students are $7.00 per person. Tickets are good for all four tournament games. There will be an online ticket option or we will be able to take cash or card at the gate. Team Picture - Reminder before teams begin warming up we will take a picture of both teams and coaches together at center court. Team Rosters - once your rosters are completed please email those to us for the game day programs that will be available for all fans. Social Media Presence - the classic will promote your teams and all the games through our X/twitter account. Please follow the Champions of Character Classic: @CofCClassic. We appreciate you helping share information and the news as it is posted from the account. We will post the team pictures, champions of character winners and pictures from the games on the classic page as well. We will also post the game matchups leading up to the games Dec. 13th.
