The Chesterton Girls Track & Field team delivered an impressive performance at the conference championship meet, earning a 5th-place team finish against some of the strongest competition in the area. The Lady Trojans were led by several standout performances across sprinting, distance events, relays, hurdles, and field events. Senior standout Kenedi Bradley had an exceptional meet, placing first in the 100-meter dash finals with a time of 12.14, second in the 200-meter dash finals in 25.54, and third in the 400-meter dash finals with a time of 59.39. Bradley consistently competed among the conference’s top sprinters and helped set the tone for Chesterton throughout the meet. Fellow Lady Trojan Allie Anderson also contributed valuable points in the sprint events, qualifying for both the 100-meter and 200-meter finals. In the 100-meter dash finals, Anderson placed seventh in 13.13, while adding another seventh-place finish in the 200-meter finals with a time of 27.23. Chesterton’s middle-distance and distance athletes also performed well in a loaded field. Hannah Haring earned sixth place in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:24.37, while Evie Fortney and Paige Clancy both secured top-10 finishes in the 1600-meter run. In the 3200 meters, Natalie White placed fifth overall in 11:24.85. In the hurdles, Harper Russell advanced to the finals of the 100-meter hurdles and placed fourth with a time of 16.45. Chesterton also showed depth in the 300-meter hurdles with Lux Mountford finishing eighth and Patricia Ozimek close behind in ninth. The Lady Trojans’ relay teams competed hard throughout the evening, highlighted by a fourth-place finish in the 4x400-meter relay with a time of 4:06.59 and another fourth-place finish in the 4x800-meter relay at 10:01.25. Chesterton also added a fifth-place finish in the 4x100-meter relay. Field events provided additional key points for the Lady Trojans. Artemis Haney earned runner-up honors in the long jump with a leap of 17-7.5, while Claire Thomas finished third in the pole vault by clearing 9-0. Zoe Komp added points in the high jump, and Tegan Werner contributed in both the discus and shot put competitions. Finishing fifth overall in such a competitive conference reflects the team’s depth, determination, and consistent effort throughout the season. With strong performances from both experienced leaders and emerging underclassmen, Chesterton showed promise for continued success moving forward. Next week, the Lady Trojans will return to action at the Chesterton Sectional, where athletes will compete for the opportunity to advance to the regional meet. The team looks forward to building on this momentum as postseason competition continues. GO TROJANS!!! Results - https://in.milesplit.com/meets/754804-dac-girls-track-meet-2026-2026/results
