Batesville High School

The Batesville High School varsity tennis team traveled to Brookville and defeated the Franklin County Wildcats by a score of 5-0. The Bulldogs won in straight sets at all five positions. Leading the way was senior Annie Negovetich at No. 1 singles. Negovetich defeated Sayla Sacksteder by the scores of 6-1 and 6-2. Adalynn Fledderman was a 6-4 and 6-1 winner at No. 2 singles over Hila French. Lucy Abplanalp defeated Audrey Mears 6-1 and 6-2 at No. 3 singles. Molly Meer and Ava Walsman defeated Serena Siles and Mady Rosenberger 6-2 and 6-2 at No. 1 doubles, while Kate Bauer and Grace Walter were 6-2 and 6-0 winners over Savannah Nelson and Mady Wilson at No.2. The junior varsity posted a 4-0 win over the Wildcats. Grace Gutzwiller and Aurora Mertz won in singles play, while Liv Maddock/Addie Reding and Maddie Haskamp and Ellie Westerfeld won doubles matches.
