Adams Sports Performance Summer Training Programs will return this June and July, offering young athletes ages 8 and up the opportunity to enhance strength, speed, agility, and overall performance while reducing the risk of injury. Sessions are organized by age group and can be adjusted based on individual needs and participation levels. Elementary and middle school sessions for ages 8–14 will be held at the Worthman Fitness Center inside Adams Memorial Hospital (1100 Mercer Avenue, Decatur), with participants using the Therapy Entrance. Classes take place Tuesdays and Thursdays at various times: ages 12–14 from 9:30–10:30 AM and 1:30–2:30 PM; ages 8–11 from 10:30–11:30 AM and 12:30–1:30 PM; and a combined group for ages 8–14 from 3:00–4:00 PM. Pricing is $65 per month for two sessions per week with an additional $20 per sibling, or $40 per month for one session per week with an additional $10 per sibling. High school and college athletes ages 15–21 are invited to participate in group training sessions held at Bellmont High School (1000 E North Adams Drive, Decatur), with athletes from surrounding schools encouraged to attend. Sessions will be held Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:00–5:00 PM for high school athletes and 5:00–6:00 PM for college athletes. The cost is $100 for eight sessions, with no classes scheduled for the week of June 28 through July 4 due to moratorium week and the holiday.
