6th Grade vs Fairfield (25 - 31) Loss The Bremen lady lions 6th grade battled a tough Fairfield team all the way to the end tonight, but ultimately both A and B were unable to come out on top. The A team lost 31-25. The lady lions produced a balanced scoring effort offensively with 6 of the 8 players getting into the scoring column. Natalie Walter, Gianna Muck, and Jayde Atkins all had 2, Anna Brady made 3 of 4 free throws, and Brookleeroy Ulch had 4. Leading all scorers was a Payton Rodriguez with 12. Mierah Motz and Addie Farabaugh played solid defense. In the B game, the lady lions battled in the second half after being down 18-4; however, they were unable to overcome and lost 22-15. They played a very aggressive game until the very end. Scoring for the B team was Mihayla Bettcher with 13 and Braelyn Mammom with 2. Emily Makhalira picked uo rebounds on both the offensive and defensive sides. Ciara Bellman and Lilli McQueen added a couple of steals each. Peyton Hicks, Karissa Nogle and Josie Wildauer hustled up and down the court all night long. The A team moves to 6-3 and B team to 7-2. The final home game is this Wednesday against Tippy Valley at 5:30. The lady lions will end their season Saturday at the Laville tournament.
