With bases loaded, senior Maci Binkely doubled over the left fielder’s head to clear the bases giving the Lions a 4-0 lead after one inning. Grabowski helped herself with a solo shot, no-doubter home run over center field fence. Binkley lead off the 4th with a walk, Aubri O’Keefe singled , a Peyton Reed sacrifice bunt, moved the runners to 2nd & 3rd. Grubbs singled scoring Binkley, Grabowski walked, a Neher added a sacrifice fly to score Milleman. Grubbs lead-off the bottom of the 6th with a double and scored on a single Nehr Grubbs & Neher had 2 hits each to lead the 7 hit attack for the Lions. Grabowski was stellar again on the mound, as she scattered five Squire hits while fanning 9, an early season high.
