The Carroll Chargers football team delivered a dominant performance Friday night, defeating Bishop Luers 35–10 at Chargers Stadium. With the win, Carroll improves to 6–3 overall and 6–1 in SAC play. After a scoreless first quarter, Carroll erupted for 35 unanswered points in the second, highlighted by quarterback Gabe Frisinger’s four touchdown passes—three to Jaidon Van Pelt and one to Mason Baughman. The Chargers also capitalized on a special teams miscue, as Henry Sholl forced and recovered a fumble on a kickoff return, taking it 11 yards to the end zone. Bishop Luers managed a 34-yard field goal before halftime and added a third-quarter touchdown on a 27-yard pass from Thomas Reichert to Nate Javins, but Carroll’s defense held firm the rest of the way. Frisinger finished with 202 passing yards, while Van Pelt led all receivers with 130 yards and three scores. Carroll’s defense forced three fumbles and an interception, keeping Luers off balance and sealing the victory in front of a home crowd. The Chargers begin their playoff push on Halloween night against Elkhart High School, kickoff 7:30pm at Elkhart.
