The Cadets enter the matchup riding a historic run, just one win away from Lucas Oil Stadium and a berth in the state championship game. Gibson Southern is looking to get back to Lucas Oil for the 2nd time in school history, previous was 2021. Cascade continues its postseason surge after capturing just the second sectional championship in school history and the first regional championship ever. The Cadets come into semi-state with the momentum of an undefeated regular season and a conference championship. Gibson Southern arrives with a strong postseason run, defeating Evansville Memorial and Mater Dei in the sectional and Indian Creek in the regional. Titans bring a well balanced, explosive offense led by a strong offensive line unit and deep skill players. Defensively, the Titans play with discipline and physicality, consistently limiting opponents and bringing deep postseason experience to the matchup. Cascade’s high tempo Wing Raid offense will once again look to play pace of the game and establish the run early, controlling the edges, and generating explosive plays. The Cadets’ dominance at the line of scrimmage and relentless toughness have fueled their historic season. Defensively, Cascade continues to shine with an aggressive, fast, and physical unit. The Cadets have surrendered just 158 total points all season, including three shutouts, and are allowing only 11.6 points per game in the postseason. This group has been the backbone of the run to semi state and will be critical again on Saturday night vs one of the best 3A programs in the state. With history on the line and a trip to Lucas Oil Stadium within reach, the Cadets take the field at home one final time for the 2025 season Saturday night for one of the biggest games in program and school history. Only one team will advance. Titans vs Cadets. #2 vs #3. Only game in the state on Saturday Night. A LITTLE PIECE OF HISTORY Cascade made history in 2025 winning its first sectional championship in 33 years defeating Guerin Catholic 49-21. Cadets made even bigger history by winning their first regional championship in school history going on the road to Lawrenceburg and winning 37-33. CADET NOTES For the second straight year, Cascade finished off the regular season 9-0. Cascade opened up the regular season with two convincing wins over rivals, Monrovia and Danville, before rolling through the Monon Athletic Conference. Cascade brought home their 2nd Sectional Championship against Guerin Catholic and brought home the program's first regional championship against Lawrenceburg last Friday night. Offensively, Cascade brings in one of the top scoring offenses in the state averaging 55.0 points per game and a stout defense giving up 11.8 points per game. Cascade is coming off of a 58-0 opening round playoff win, a 45-14 dominant performance over Tri-West, a 49-21 victory over Guerin Catholic and a hard fought victory over Lawrenceburg 37-33. OFFENSIVE STATISTICS 55.0 Points/Game 440.3 Total Yds/Game 287.7 Rush Yds/Game 152.6 Pass Yds/Game UNDER CENTER FOR THE CADETS Senior quarterback Brady Trebley is under center, commanding Cascade’s no-huddle Wing-T offense. Through 13 weeks of football, Trebley has been as efficient as the best of them in Indiana High School Football, Trebley has completed 111-147 for 1,937 yards and 31 touchdowns. He also has added 264 yards on the ground and 7 touchdowns. Last week vs Lawrenceburg, the pass game was lethal with Trebley going 6-10 for 150 yards and 3 touchdowns. Behind him, sophomore Luke Austin and freshman Mason Minner will provide depth in the quarterback room for the future Cadets. Brady Trebley Ranks in Career Passing History: Passing Yards (Career): 3rd (4,601) Passing TDs (Career): 1st (71) Completions (Career): 3rd (264) Completion % (Career): 1st (66.7%) RUN DOMINANCE Cascade heads into the Semi-State Championship play versus Gibson Southern with a three headed rushing attack that can strike on any play. Last week against Lawrenceburg, the Cadets’ backfield had a plethora of running backs carry the football for 331 rushing yards, averaging an impressive 8.3 yards per carry. SR Toby Savini led the team in carries with 12 for 152 yards and 2 touchdowns. JR Lucas Farmer added in 8 carries for 58 yards. SR Dayton Mink finished it off with 15 carries for 90 yards. SR Brady Trebley added a fourth ball carrier with 5 carries for 35 yards. On the season, Savini leads the team with 905 yards rushing and 15 touchdowns, Mink adds in 886 yards and 16 touchdowns, while Farmer brings 785 yards and 11 touchdowns. The Cascade offense broke the 3,000 yard mark for the 4th straight year now totaling 3740 yards and 65 touchdowns this season. With multiple weapons capable of taking it the distance on any snap, Cascade’s backfield will be a key factor Saturday Night as the Cadets look to control the tempo and assert their run game against one of the top defenses in the state n a highly touted match up in the Semi-State Championship with Gibson Southern. Toby Savini & Dayton Mink Career Rushing Ranks: Rushing Yards: Savini 3rd (3,133) / Mink 4th (2,895) Rushing Touchdowns: Savini 3rd (39) / Mink 1st (43) Yards Per Rush: Savini 1st (9.81) / Mink 6th (6.45) Career Scoring: Savini 1st (330) / Mink 2nd (278) PASS CATCHERS Cascade’s wide receiver group is deep and experienced this season, led by seniors Marcus Hobson, JT Roshong, with junior Cooper Lievens adding additional depth. This group brings big play potential to the edge of Cascade’s otherwise run-heavy offense, providing balance and the ability to stretch the field, a key factor as the Cadets look to keep defenses from loading the box against their powerful rushing attack. Last week against Lawrenceburg, the wide receiver group made big time plays on the edge through the air and on the ground. SR Marcus Hobson caught 2 passes for 18 yards and a touchdown and SR JT Roshong caught one pass for 39 yards and a touchdown, all three receptions coming in huge moments for the offense. SR Marcus Hobson leads the group with 664 yards receiving and 15 touchdowns. SR JT Roshong has hauled in 19 catches for 291 yards and 5 touchdowns. Friday night against Lawrenceburg, Marcus Hobson’s touchdown catch broke the three way tie for most touchdown catches in the regular season passing AJ Sanders (2019) and Jacob Simpson (2003) with now 15 total. Marcus Hobson Season / Career Receiving Ranks: Seasons Receiving Touchdowns: Hobson 1st (15) Career Receiving Touchdowns: Hobson 3rd (21) / Savini 5th (12) / Roshong 4th (13) PHYSICALITY & VERSATILITY ON THE EDGE Cascade’s tight end group will continue to play a vital role in both the run and pass game as SR Delton Howrey, SR Braxton Lewis, SR Royce Bright, and JR Trent Austin will look to be the dominant force on the edge collapsing down gaps for the run game. Last week, Delton Howrey and Braxton Lewis played a vital role in the offense as blockers in the run game. As the Cadets prepare for their Week 14 game against Gibson Southern, look for this group to continue being a dominant presence in the run game while providing timely contributions through the air when needed. HOGS UP FRONT The Cadets’ offensive line has been a major driving force behind Cascade’s success early in the 2025 season, paving the way for an offense that is averaging 444 yards per game. In Week 11 versus Tri-West, this unit had a strong showing, leading the Cadets offense opening massive running lanes to finish the night with 519 yards of offense, with a season high 489 yards on the ground. In the Sectional Championship, this group led the way opening up running lanes and solid pass pro finishing with 470 yards of offense. In week 13, they look to continue their physicality and efficiency. In week 13, the offensive line didn’t disappoint in the regional championship, leading the offense to 484 yards with 333 coming on the ground with a loaded box. In the playoffs the Cadets are averaging 350 yards on the ground and a whopping 465 yards total on the offensive side. Despite their youth, this line has quickly developed into a physical, cohesive unit, setting the tone for Cascade’s fast, no-huddle attack and giving their deep backfield room to thrive. For the offensive team to continue to thrive and make a push for a State Championship birth, this group will need to be on the same page and continue to communicate upfront vs a very strong defensive unit. DEFENSIVE STATISTICS 11.8 Points/Game Allowed 183.2 Total Yds/Game Allowed 65.2 Rush Yds/Game Allowed 117.9 Pass Yds/Game Allowed 31 Takeaways (18 INTs/13 Fumble Recovery’s) RUN GAME STOPPERS Cascade’s defensive front will look to set the tone this week on the defensive line vs Gibson Southern’ spread run attack. Senior Dominic Appleby, Senior Bentley McClellan and JR Jacob Healy will get the start this week. This group has dominated the run game with plugging holes and shutting down running backs all season long. This group is giving up just 65.2 yards per game on the ground and have allowed 5 rushing touchdowns all season. Last week vs Lawrenceburg, this group gave up the most rushing yards all season with 227 yards and 4 rushing touchdowns. This group will need to play more disciplined in order to slow the Titans offense down. The defensive line has been the tone setter for being a run stopping force all season long. With momentum building and weather temperature dropping, Cascade’s defensive line will look to be a dominant threat if the Cadets want to make a push into late November. Gibson Southern averages 222.2 yards on the ground. The defensive line will be tested with strong offensive line play and an elusive backfield. This group will need to clog running lanes to limit this rushing attack from getting going. HIT SQUAD Cascade’s most experienced defensive unit lines up at linebacker, where SR Toby Savini, SR Baynx Stirling, SR Braxton Lewis, and SO TJ Turner, will look to continue their physical presence as a unit. SO TJ Turner led the team last week with 13 tackles, 3.5 TFLs and 1.5 sacks. SR Braxton Lewis and SR Toby Savini anchor the inside with 67 tackles each. They will need to bear down Saturday night to wrap up Gibson Southern’s RB and QB run game. This group brings a strong combination of leadership, toughness, and athleticism, making them a key component of Cascade’s defense. This group has been known for setting the physicality in games and doesn’t shy away from contact. This linebacker unit will be critical Saturday Night filling running lanes vs a strong offensive line for Gibson Southern. NO FLY ZONE Cascade’s secondary is anchored by SR’s Marcus Hobson and JT Roshong, alongside JR’s Lucas Farmer and Michael Langley. Since surrendering 226 passing yards on big plays during the Week 4 matchup against North Montgomery, the Cadets’ “No Fly Zone” has locked in, allowing just 115.4 yards per game through the air this season. This disciplined group has forced opposing quarterbacks into tight windows all year, piling up 18 interceptions, including 4 by senior leader Marcus Hobson. SR Marcus Hobson came up with a huge 4th quarter interception last week vs Lawrenceburg. The unit’s aggressive play and confidence have set the tone for Cascade’s defense, which has yielded only 13 passing touchdowns all season. Last week against Lawrenceburg, the “No Fly Zone” continued their statement year by adding another pick on the board for the Cadets defense. As Cascade prepares for its toughest test of the season in the biggest game of the year, this tested secondary will be key to slowing down new starting quarterback Rochleau and the Titans offense. With momentum on their side, Cascade’s defensive backfield is ready to rise to the challenge once again. KICKERS Junior Brogan Trump continues the kicking duties for the Cadets. Trump has been almost automatic for the PATs. For the season, Trump is 92-99 on the year, had a record breaking PAT game vs Greencastle converting 12 of 12 to break the PAT record in a single game (Previously held by Brogan Trump, 2025) and leads the state in all 6 classes for PATs made. Trump surpassed the Career PAT Record in the first week of playoff play vs Indianapolis Washington with his 7 PATs made passing Max Stucky (69). Trump is also 3-4 on field goal attempts for the year. SR Gabriel Glaze handles the kickoff duty for the Cadets and has been a special teams weapon, pinning teams deep in their own territory and keeping the ball out of returners hands with touchbacks. Glaze averaged 52.5 yards on kickoffs with 18 touchbacks on 62 kickoffs. Brogan Trump Season / Career Kicking Ranks: Kick Scoring (Season): 1st (99) PATs (Season): 1st (92) Kick Scoring (Career): 2nd (101) PATs (Career): 2nd (92) SCOUTING THE TITANS Gibson Southern is led by 14th year Head Coach Nick Hart. He is 145-28 overall at Gibson Southern. The Titans enter the game with a 12-1 record and a first place finish in the Pocket Conference. Last week, the Titans defeated Indian Creek 42-14 in the regional championship. QB Caden Rochleau leads the team at quarterback this week after SR Zach Foster went down with a season ending injury last week. Rochleau came into the game late in the 2nd quarter and completed 3-5 for 37 yards and a touchdown while adding 2 rushes for 68 yards. On the ground, SR Colin Sherer has 123 rushes for 766 yards and 11 touchdowns. On the outside, Titans have significant height led by 6’3 wideout Noah Kuester who has 55 receptions for 601 yards and 14 touchdowns. On defense, the Titans are led by their front four defensive lineman. SR Brody Klem has 65 tackles on the year with 28 coming for a loss and his partner Khale Campbell adds 51 tackles and 17 tackles for a loss. The two inside linebackers for the Titans leads the team in tackles with Colin Sherer tallying 123 tackles and Gunner Alexander compiling 105. In the secondary, SR cornerback Lloyd Sellers leads the team with 10 interceptions and 11 passes defended. This defensive unit gives up 243 yards per game in 10 games stated and 11.8 points per game. 2025 Schedule Week 0: @ Linton Week 1: Monrovia W 48-6 Week 2: @ Danville W 41-25 Week 3: @ North Putnam W 42-6 Week 4: North Montgomery W 63-26 Week 5: @ Frankfort W 77-0 Week 6: Crawfordsville (Homecoming) W 55-3 Week 7: @ Greencastle W 98-13 Week 8: Southmont (Senior Night) W 46-0 Week 9: @ Western Boone W 56-7 Week 10: @ Indianapolis Washington W 58-0 Week 11: @ Tri-West W 45-14 Week 12: Guerin Catholic W 49-21 Week 13: @ Lawrenceburg W 37-33 Week 14: Gibson Southern Week 15: IHSAA State Championship VARSITY COACHING STAFF HEAD COACH Connor Simmons 6th year at Cascade with an overall record of 41-26, 45-32 overall in 7 seasons. 2025: 13-0 (MAC Champions, 3A Sectional Champions, 3A Regional Champions) 2024: 10-1 (3A Sectional Semifinal) 2023: 6-5 (2A Sectional Semifinal) 2022: 6-5 (2A Sectional Semifinal) 2021: 3-7 2020: 3-8 (2A Sectional Semifinal) ASSISTANT COACHES Troy Edwards (DC - year 3) Matt Minardo (QB - year 6) Tony Appleby (OL - year 4) Cam Ginter (DL - year 2) Chris Appleby (OL - year 5) Don Rushton (ILB - year 3) Tim Horning (STC/RB - year 6) Connor Horning (STC/OLB - year 4) Steve Phillips (WR - year 3) Kyle Krober (RB - year 1) STUDENT MANAGERS Addison Littrell, Haley Terhune, Evan Dixon, Zayda Hofing MEDICAL STAFF Athletic Trainer: Meghan Clairday ADMINISTRATION Superintendent: Brian Tomamichel Assistant Superintendent: Kale Blickenstaff Principal: Jeff Hansel Assistant Principal: Julia Crone Athletic Director: Scott Stevens CASCADE SPORTS Follow CHS Athletics on Facebook (Cascade High School Athletics), Twitter (@Cadethletics), and online (cascadecadets.com) for more information on our sports and football program.
