Last night the Cadets hosted a JV and Varsity match versus Conference foe Speedway. The JV match started slow for the Cadets before finally finding themselves to take the match 25-17 and 25-15. With the win the JV team has started the season with a 2-1 record on the season defeating Indian Creek last Saturday and falling short versus Plainfield on Monday. Falling suite the Varsity team, started slow on the night as they faced their largest deficit of the year falling early 9-18, but fought back to get some momentum only to lose the first set 22-25. Using that momentum from the end of the 1st set, the Cadets cruised to take the next 3 sets 25-16, 25-13, 25-16 to take the match 3-1 and improving on their season record to 2-1 also beating Indian Creek (5 set match) on Saturday and losing to Plainfield (22-25, 19-25, 19-25) on Monday. The Cadets play again tonight at Cloverdale with the JV starting at 6:00pm
