Cadets Fall to Triton Central in Season Opener

By Connor Simmons | Aug 20, 2022 3:00 AM

Cadets traveled to Triton Central Friday Night to take on the Tigers for the 2022 season opener. Cascade held on through the first quarter and a half, but Triton Central was the more experienced team. Cascade managed to score two touchdowns (One through the air / One on the ground). Cadets got on the board after SR Jayson Kemp intercepted a pass from Triton Central QB and returned it back to the 15 yard line to setup the first touchdown of the night. The very next offensive play FR QB Brady Trebley pitched the ball to SR Liam Farmer on the edge, but instead of running it, Farmer pulled up and found FR JT Roshong wide open to get the Cadets on the board 14-6. Later in the 4th quarter, Cascade drove 95 yards in 11 plays. SR Devon Weigle capped off the drive with a 5 yard touchdown run to bring the score 42-14. Cadets come back home for the next two weeks. Next Friday Night, Cascade will honor Coach Bryce King against Beech Grove (8/26). Cascade will welcome all youth league football players on 9/2 for Youth League Night against Indianapolis Scecina.
