Cascade Junior Varsity traveled to Beech Grove last night to take on the Hornets in the first 2022 season game. Traveling with 20 players, Cascade brought the juice early and often. Cascade lead at the half 12-6 compliments of a long touchdown run by FR Marcus Hobson. FR Delton Howrey sealed off the edge defender allowing the running back to get vertical and make the rest happen. The fireworks started in the second half. Cadets managed to outscore the Hornets 28-12 in the two quarters. SO Brady Sebanc threw for 2 touchdowns both to FR Marcus Hobson. FR Royce Bright and FR Delton Howrey both caught some big 3rd down completions throughout the game. FR Dayton Mink came away with a rushing touchdown. Defensively, the Cadets managed to get pressure all night with hurries by the front 7. SO Brady Thornburg set the tone in the second half with a scoop and score fumble return. JR Gavin Weakley and FR Marcus Hobson both had interceptions. Junior Varsity will travel to Indianapolis Scecina next Monday for the week #3 contest.Varsity hosts Beech Grove Friday Night at 7pm.
