Cadets return to the their home turf tonight to take on Indiana Crossroads Conference opponent 4A Beech Grove Hornets. Both teams look to redeem themselves from week one losses. Cascade Football will honor Coach Bryce King tonight who was lost in a car accident in December 2021. Honorary captains for tonight walking out for the coin toss will be Gary King, Amanda King, and Kenna King. Cadets fought and showed some glimpses of positive output, however Triton Central was the more experienced team. Cadets fell 42-14, but look to take the positives from week 1 and grow for week 2. Beech Grove opened up with 1A State Champion Lutheran and fell 38-6. Both teams enter 0-1 for the 2022 season. Cadet Notes Cascade plays with a young team to begin the 2022 season, but some key leaders are back and eager for more. Liam Farmer, Walker, Van Ness and Devon Weigle look to lead the 2022 Cadets through the tough ICC schedule at hand. All three players return as two way players on offense and defense. Wyatt Nohren, Damien Appleby and Duncan White look to play key roles on both sides of the field. Cadets offense will have a similar look to it from last year with the return of 927 yard rusher Liam Farmer. Look for him to be the workhorse behind Duncan White and Walker Van Ness up front.
