The Cadet Volleyball teams have been busy for the past few days. On Tuesday, the JV and Varsity headed over to Greencastle to start the week. The JV team was able to easily handle the Tiger Cubs with a decisive 2-0 victory. However the Varsity team was unable find any rhythm the whole night to lose 1-3 and needed to find a solution with stronger competition of Cardinal Ritter and Monrovia the next 2 nights. Then on Wednesday night, we hosted Middle School Night versus Cardinal Ritter with all 3 teams playing during the night. The Freshman started the night with 2 solid victories against the Raiders. The JV followed suite getting 2 straight wins as well. The Varsity team was able to find some successes and were able to pull together a 3-1 win. Last night, the Volleyball team finished the week with a trip to Monrovia. The JV started the night picking up 2 straight victorys again going 6-0 during the week. The Varsity played with a lot of heart as they were able to play a 5 setter with Monrovia and finishing the night with a heart stopping victory 18-16 in the final set to take the victory 3-2. The Varsity team is now 10-5 on the season and ranked in the top 25 in 2A. Next week the Lady Cadets play on the road versus Scecina with all 3 traveling to play on Thursday, September 15th.
