Monrovia leads the all-time series 33-21. Monrovia is currently on a 1 game series winning streak beating the Cadets in 2021 46-31 in a thrilling offensive match-up. The last Cadets win between the two teams came in 2020 when Cascade traveled into Monrovia, week #1 of the 2020 IHSAA Playoffs and came away with a 6-0 victory in a mud game compliments of a Liam Farmer touchdown run with 5 minutes remaining in the game. Since the beginning of this rivalry, this game has been decided by 1 score in 15 of the 54 games played. WEEK 7 RECAP Cascade hosted the Speedway Sparkplugs last Friday Night for Senior Night. Cadets got off to a hot start taking a 21-7 lead. But Speedway was able to fight back into the game, getting a huge 4th down stop. One play later they would tie the game 28-28. Cadets would drive down the length of the field, but a field goal attempt would fall short. Speedway would force a Cadet turnover in overtime and would run one in from 7 yards out to win the game. Cascade offense rushed for 275 yards against a Speedway defense. Cadets offense has totals over 210 yards on the ground in 6 of the 7 games. The Black Swarm defense held Speedway to 278 yards and forced 2 turnovers in the overtime loss. Cadets had one of their best defensive outings of the year, holding the explosive offense in check. CADET NOTES Cascade is coming off a heartbreaking loss to Speedway after dominating them on the ground rushing for 275 yards on 60 attempts. The Cascade Offense has amassed a total of 2,088 yards on the ground and currently average 6.4 yards/carry. Offensively, they use their Wing-T run attack to set the tempo and control the game.
