Friday Night Lights are back in Indiana as the Cascade Cadets will travel to Linton, IN tomorrow night for their IHSAA week 0 scrimmage. Cadets are fresh off a historic 2024 campaign and bring back their largest roster of kids in the last six years. Cascade will look to the class of 2026 to lead the program this year, a group that is 22-10 since entering high school. Cascade posted for just a second time their 3rd straight winning season. They completed the 1st ever undefeated regular season in program history. HEAD COACHES Connor Simmons, 28-26 in his 6th season at Cascade. Brian Oliver, 126-28 in his 13th season at Linton. LOOKING AHEAD Cadets will open the 2025 season at home vs rival Monrovia on August 22nd. Cascade and Monrovia play in The Battle of I-70 Trophy game, which started back in 2020. Cascade is 2-3 vs the Bulldogs in that time frame. Cascade brings 20 senior football players going into week one for the season. Cadets return 7 starters on offense and 9 on the defensive side of the football with plenty of players with varsity experience to back them up. Cascade played Monrovia in 2023 falling 35-42 at home. Last year due to the conference changes, the rivalry had to be put on pause, but make no mistake, both teams have been looking forward to the week one match-up since it was put on the schedule last season.
