The Chesterton girls basketball team fell to 5-3 on Tuesday night when they traveled to one of the state's top 2A programs in Rensselaer. The defending state runners-up had too much offense for the young Trojans on their way to a 57-43 win. Sophomore Lindsi McGuffey paced the banged-up varsity squad with 17 points. Freshman Macie Pack had the best game of her young career with 11 points in just three varsity quarters. Fellow freshman Ella Boyanski scored 7 in the game as well. The team will be back on the road Friday night in DAC play when they travel to Michigan City.
