The Chesterton girls basketball team lost a tough road game on Monday night at Crown Point 47-35. An inspired defensive effort from the team kept them game close in the first half when the offense struggled to get going. A 9-point halftime deficit stayed that way going to the fourth quarter when the Trojans tried to mount a comeback. They got it to a two-point game late before eventually losing to the 18-win Bulldogs. Leading all scorers in the game was freshman Ella Boyanski with 15 points. Reese Dilbeck also got into double-figures for the Trojans with 10. Leading the defensive charge and holding CP's potent offense in check for most of the game were Allison Van Kley and Addison Pack. The team is now 14-7 on the season and finished in third place in the DAC with a 5-2 record.
