Chesterton High School is proud to announce that senior Gionna Pinkston has signed to continue her academic and athletic career at Butler University. Gionna will participate in cheerleading at the collegiate level. A dedicated and accomplished student-athlete, Gionna has been a key member of the Chesterton cheerleading program. She has helped lead the Trojans to back-to-back state championships in 2024 and 2025, while also contributing to national-level success as part of teams that finished as national finalists in 2025 and 2026. In addition to her athletic achievements, Gionna has excelled in the classroom, earning both High Honor Roll and Principal’s Honor Roll recognition during her time at Chesterton High School. Gionna plans to pursue a degree in Nursing at Butler University, where she will continue her academic and athletic journey under the direction of Head Coach Brenda Jamerson. Gionna’s dedication, leadership, and commitment have made a lasting impact on the Chesterton High School cheer program. Her coaches and school administrators are confident she will continue to thrive at the collegiate level.
