We are proud to honor Fred Mitchell as a 2023 inductee into the Chesterton High School Hall of Fame – a recognition reserved for those who have made a lasting and meaningful impact on our school and athletic community. Fred was a standout two-sport athlete, excelling in both baseball and basketball during his time at CHS. His talent, leadership, and competitive spirit on the court and the field earned him recognition as one of the school’s finest. After his playing days, Fred returned to give back to the Trojan community, serving as a dedicated basketball coach, mentoring student-athletes and helping shape the CHS basketball program with integrity, passion, and a true love for the game.
