Crown Point High School Athletics

The boys' track and field team had a few members compete in Indianapolis this past Saturday at the Hoosier State Relays, the state's indoor championships. Caydon Smith (12) jumped 20-5 in the long jump to place 18th. In the pole vault, Isaac Roman (11) cleared 15-6 to finish as state runner-up, while Bobby Scott (12) cleared 13-9 to place 12th. The 4x800 meter relay team also finished 13th in 8:09.16. Jake Metzger (12) led off in 2:03.01, Jackson Zona (11) split 1:59.54, Caleb Kotynski (12) ran 2:05.32, and Jake Baumann (12) closed in 2:01.30. The Dogs will open the outdoor portion of the season at home against Munster on Thursday, April 9, at 4:30 p.m.
