Shorthanded, the Boys Varsity Cross Country team turned in a solid performance today, earning 5th place out of 19 teams at the New Prairie Invitational. Leading the pack for the team was senior Jake Metzger, who battled to the finish and claimed 11th place overall. He was followed by junior Jackson Zona, who crossed the line in 25th place, with fellow junior Dylan Ryder close behind in 30th place. Sophomore Kuba Nurek finished strong in 41st place, with senior Blythe Dieck rounding out the scoring five in 44th place. The Dogs sit at #22 in the state, and hope to have all hands on deck for the remainder of the season.
