The Crown Point Boys Cross Country program turned in another strong showing, this time at the Duneland Athletic Conference Championship on Saturday. The Varsity Dogs entered the meet undefeated against DAC competition this season, but were short-handed heading into the race. Despite that, the guys competed very well, ultimately finishing as conference runner-up behind a great Chesterton team. Scores: Chesterton 43 Crown Point 52 Valporaiso 84 Lake Central 93 LaPorte 112 Portage 147 Merillville - no score Michigan City - no score Senior Jake Metzger (4th) led the way for Crown Point, followed by junior Jackson Zona (7th) and junior Dylan Ryder (10th)—all three earning All-DAC Honors for their efforts. Meanwhile, the JV team capped their season in championship fashion, winning JV DAC on a tiebreaker. The group’s effort in the heat was top-notch. The Bulldogs now shift their focus to the IHSAA postseason, beginning with the Sectional Championship. Full Results: https://runsignup.com/Race/Results/171851/TeamResults
