Boys Soccer Opens Sectional Play with Dominant Performance v. Lowell

Crown Point opened sectional play on October 6, 2025, with a strong 4-0 victory over Lowell. The Bulldogs struck once in the first half when a free kick by Brayden Kurtz found the head of a crashing Max Tasevski. Crown Point broke the game open in the second half, when freshman Liam Bazin scored three consecutive goals within a remarkable 6-minute span. Senior Brayden Kurtz was instrumental in the attack, recording all three assists on Bazin’s goals, while goalkeepers Eddie Sundblad and Oliver Brewer combined for the clean sheet, with Brewer making four saves in 60 minutes of play. With the win, Crown Point advances to face Portage in the sectional semifinal on Wednesday at 5 p.m. at Kankakee Valley.
