Lady Musketeer Softball 2-0 on the week going to CAI tonight, Jackson sets school record with 500th strikeout milestone.

The Lady Musketeers are 2-0 on the week with wins against Springs Valley and Clarksville as they head to CAI tonight. The ladies defeated Springs Valley 7-3 behind Bracie Jackson and Sidney Patton who combined for 7 innings and 14 strikeouts while surrendering 3 unearned runs. Patton and Jackson each collected 2 hits to lead the offense, while Ivy Dixon, Alyssa Calloway, and Bailey Trainer each chipped in a hit. Calloway also had 2 RBIs. On Wednesday, the Lady Musketeers shut-out Clarksville 5-0 behind Jackson's 7 inning, 12 strikeout performance. She also broke the school record for strikeouts eventually hitting the 500 K milestone, becoming the first Lady Musketeer to reach that elite mark. Leading the way for the offense, Patton and Trainer each collected 2 hits and an RBI as Patton had a double and a triple. Jackson went 1-2 with an RBI to help her cause and Adriana Dolleris had a hit and RBI to help out as well. Calloway chipped in an RBI to round out the scoring. The Lady Musketeers travel to CAI tonight. The Middle School Lady Musketeers improved to 6-2-1 on the season with two wins at Crawford County and a loss to Henryville. They play again on Monday against Highland Hills.
