Big Personality-Alexis Sandoval

Hot Dog Baseball Senior Spotlight: Sometimes it seems like Alexis Sandoval has been in the Frankfort dugout for 10 years. Part of that can be attributed to his big personality. On the bus, on the field, or in the dugout, he finds a way to enjoy the situation and that the people around him do the same. He was on the 2023 varsity team that won a regional title and has made many contributions on the field at the varsity and jv level over the last 4 years. But that big personality is what he will be remembered for. I don’t think anyone could doubt Alexis’ love for baseball, a big part of that can be attributed to the previously mentioned personality. He has always been willing to do whatever it takes to contribute. He came up as a middle infielder, but was happy to make the switch to outfield during his sophomore year because that’s what we needed. At one point, he even worked on pitching submarine-style to help find another way onto the field. As Alexis wraps up his Hot Dog baseball career and graduates, I am sure that he will continue to make the most of every moment and those people that he surrounds himself with will have a good time and will have been better off for having known him. I know that is already true for everyone in our baseball program.
