Good Start to Indoor Season For The Flashes

This Saturday, March 2nd, the Flashes Boys' Track team opened up their year with a good showing at University of Indianapolis. Ivan Weaver set a new school indoor record with a height of 14-0 in pole vault, and Preston Stokell was right behind in 2nd place with a jump of 13-0. Jayon Harvey is now number 3 on the all time list in the 60 meter dash, with a time of 7.05. The distance medley relay was first with a time of 10:46 (Ashman, Reedus, Weaver, Farmer. In long jump, the Flashes were thrilled with jumps of 20-2 and 19-7 from Dennis Mitchell and Damir Swanigan. Demetrius Dillard was 3rd in the shot put with a throw of 45-6. Our hurdlers, Zeke Draher and Avery Lambirth were impressive with times of 9.21 and 9.45 in the 60 high hurdles. The Flashes 4x8 was first with a time of 8:50 (Trout, Tharp, Reedus, Wright), the 4x400 was also first with a time of 3:39.38. It was a very good start to the year. The coaching staff is proud of everyone. GO FLASHES!!
