Congratulations to our April Athletes of the Month brought to you by Tire Discounters! Each athletes was selected by their Head Coach based upon their performance and/or leadership during the month of April! Joey has had excellent times in big meets lately, and also sets the standard for his teammates. Abby has burst onto the track scene and become one of the top sprinters in the state in just her first year in the sport! Elizabeth is a great leader, motivator, and a helping hand in Unified Sports. She is encouraging to her teammates, works hard to improve on her own, and is always one we can turn to to help with our athletes. Thank you Elizabeth for being what Unified embodies! Kate has stepped up in her 2nd year of Varsity Competition for the tennis team at #3 singles. She had a big win over #18 Avon to secure our first conference win of the year 3-2 over Avon. Sarah Miller, a standout athlete who epitomizes excellence on and off the field. With a batting average of .387 and an impressive on-base percentage of .424 with 4 home runs Sarah's prowess at the plate is undeniable. Conner is the team captain that leads the team defensively achieving over 50 digs this month. Dylan is currently second in the team in batting average (.341), 2nd in hits, 1st in doubles, tied for the team lead in triples, HRs, and RBIs. Dylan has been a great team motivator all year. Ray has shown exemplary leadership skills this year as a sophomore on the golf team. He has taken another golfer under his wings to show him the ropes of the team and encourage him to continue to better his golf game. Ray continues to make gains throughout his golf career and strives to be the best player he can in the game. Keep up the great work Ray!
