The Flashes placed 4th this weekend at the Freshman Marion County meet. There were some excellent performances and the track staff is really excited about the future of FC Track. Max Bertram was Freshman Marion County Champion with a jump of 9-6. Oliver Thomas placed 4th in the open 400 with a time of 55.39. Trenton Byrne was also 4th in the 800m with a time of 2:11. In the 1600m, Ian Tharp (4:39) and Elliott McVey (4:49) were 2nd and 5th respectively. The 4x1 of Danzer, Sidibe, Byrne, and Steagall placed 5th with a time of 46.58. The 4x400 of Danzer, Byrne, Thomas, and Tharp placed 3rd with a time of 3:51. Our “man of the meet” was Ian Tharp who ran the 3200 and immediately checked in and ran the anchor leg of our 4x400 the very next race- great effort!!
