Hainje Break Record in 2nd Meet of Season

In their 2nd indoor meet of the season, the Flashes Boys’ Track team set an Indiana state record last night, and had an all-around awesome meet. In the boys’ 60, Dennis Mitchell placed 4th with a time of 7.04. In the long jump, Damir Swanigan was 3rd with a jump of 21 feet 4 inches. In high jump, freshman Markell Bailey was 5th with an impressive 6-0 jump. Preston Stokell was 1st in pole vault, making a 13 foot vault look routine. Evan Farmer and Jason Decker were both impressive, running the 3200 in 9:46 and 10:10 to place 1st and 4th. The 4x200- Moritz, Clerger, Swanigan and Mitchell ran a 1:33.34 and was 2nd place. In the 4000m DMR, Wright, Farmer, Trout, and Hahn were first with a time of 10:51. Another relay, the 4x400 was 1st last night, with a time of 3:30- Moritz, Snell, Clerger, Mitchell. The highlight of the evening was the 60M hurdles. Rylan Hainje broke the all-time Indiana indoor state record with a time of 7.78. That mark makes him currently first in the state of Indiana, Top 10 in the nation. Great job Rylan!!
