On Saturday, the Golden Eagle Girls Basketball team beat Covenant Christian 47-31. The Golden Eagles got the lead early and never relinquished it. At the end of the first quarter it was 12 - 2, and by half time it was 23 -13. Scoring in the first half was balanced between 5 different players with #1 Annie Murphy '25 and #12 Reagan Haines '25 leading the team with 5 points each. In the second half the scoring was lead by #5 Gianna Morelli '27 would score 7 of her total 14 points in the third quarter. The defense was stout in the the third quarter only allowing Covenant Christian to score 3 points. It was 32 -16 at the end of the third.
