This past weekend, the Golden Eagles Boys Swimming and Diving team competed at Sectionals hosted by Carmel High School. Drew Wilhite '24 qualified for the IHSAA Swimming State Finals. He emerged from the Carmel sectional in the 100 yard Backstroke with a time of 52.26. In the process, Drew broke the longest standing record in program history set by Matthew Gerth in 2009. Drew is seeded 21st and will swim on Friday night at approximately 8:00pm at the IUPUI Natatorium. If he finishes in the top 16, he will compete once again on Saturday afternoon. In other events - Boys 200 Medley relay- consisting of Wilhite, Will Ladine '26, Sam Holl '27, Charlie Jurewicz'24 set new school record of 1:41.06. 50m Free - Wilhite set a new school record of 21.73 100m breast - Ladine set a new School record of 1:03.34
