On Saturday, Elwood High School hosted an IHSAA Sectional with high schools from Alexandria Monroe, Anderson, Elwood Community, Frankton, Guerin Catholic, Hamilton Heights, Lapel, Noblesville, Pendleton Heights, and Tipton. Jack Hubbard '26 defeated Alexandria Monroe's Garret Smith '27 in bracket play, but would fall to Turner Seale '26 of Pendleton Heights. Hubbard would wrestle Smith again to secure third place and advance to the IHSAA Regional hosted by Pendleton Height on Saturday, Feb 8. Hubbard will face Bishop Chatard's Charlie Rushenberg '25 in the first round. Rushenberg is 19 - 7 on the year, while Hubbard is 15 - 3.
