CROSS COUNTRY The Tigers XC teams had our season opener a littler earlier this year. Starting the season at the Tippecanoe Amphitheater hosted by Harrison High School, this will also be the course for our new Conference meet held in October. It was a hot one, but the group did their best and we finished with great performances. The boys started the day with four of our scorers running their first 5K and placing 7th out of 15 complete teams. The boys’ race had 216 total runners. Leading the way was Curtis Hicks in 42nd, followed by Lucas Hicks (48th), Brynner Sloan (68th), Jovani Suarez (70th), Easton Lake (97th), Levi Pittman (108th), and rounding out the top 7 was Grant Fulkerson (113th). The Lady Tigers raced next and finished as a team in 4th out of 14 teams with 162 total runners in the race. Leading the way was Penny Lamerson with a top 10 finish placing 5th. Followed by Alexis Lahrman with a PR time of 22:19 in 25th, Sophie Kyler (26th), Abby Riggs (38th), Claire Larson (43rd), Audrie Cooper (44th), and rounding out the top 7 was Haley Tiefel (47th). Lyla Susong running a strong race in 61st, Soteria Udu (64th), Charlotte Kleindl (68th), Izzy Metheny (83rd), Marli McConnell (85th), Jilly Pollock (91st), Raylee Washburn (104th), Lilly Pratt (110th), Averee Maciel (119th), Leah Ziats (129th), and Hayleigh Coyle (149th). Full meet results are attached. The Tigers will race again next Saturday in the John Cleland 4K Invite hosted by Zionsville High School at the Northview Christian Church in Carmel.
