Brayden Wegener was dominant on the hill, as the starter rang up 10 strikeouts in LMS Gold's 5-0 victory over NMMS 8th Grade 14U on Monday. Wegener surrendered five hits and zero runs over six innings while walking one. LMS Gold opened the scoring in the top of the second thanks to two singles. LMS Gold first got on the board when Aiden Karsas singled, scoring one run. Kohen Bonebrake took the loss for NMMS 8th Grade 14U. The righty went five innings, surrendering five runs on seven hits, striking out one and walking three. Camden Hawkins led LMS Gold with two runs batted in. The leadoff hitter went 3-for-4 on the day. Karsas collected two hits for LMS Gold in two at bats. Hawkins stole two bases. LMS Gold turned two double plays in the game.
