The Girls Tennis Team opened up the 2024 season at Rushville and came home with a 5-0 win. We played a great team match from top to bottom to complete the match sweep. Freshman Peyton Blessinger was the first off the court winning 6-1, 6-1 at #2 Singles. Shortly after, freshman sister Ashlynn completed her 6-1, 6-0 win at #3 Singles. To secure the team win, the #2 doubles team of senior Teagan Brown and freshman Cadence Armacost shut out their opponents 6-0, 6-0. Seniors Jaylee Bush and Payton Dolce were strong in their 6-4, 6-3 win at #1 doubles and senior Morley Blessinger won a tough match over a very good player at #1 singles, 6-3, 1-6, 6-2. The JV team also picked up a 5-1 win. Singlers winners were Lauren Gilman, Cloe Poe, Delaney Ryan, and Anne Truman, and the doubles team of Watkuweis Watson and Chelsie Groce. The 1-0 Trojans will travel to Connersville on Tuesday for a 5:30 start time.
