The Lady Cougars ended their regular season traveling to Mishawaka and coming out on top. At the half, the Cougars trailed but the 2nd half, the tenacity of the group rose above the Cavemen. Guard trio of senior Hannah Hawkins-Wiesner, and sophomores Bailey Futa and Brookylnne Shepherd led the offensive charge, with 19 points for Hawkins-Weisner & 14 points for Futa & Shepherd. A strong performance from senior Envy Hesch including drawing a crucial offensive foul and scoring 8 points was impactful in the win. Juniors Chloe Deutscher & Emma Deutscher were great in the post and provided strong action at the rim and on the rebounding end. As the regular season comes to a close, the Lady Cougars look forward to sectional play on Tuesday when they travel to Marian to compete against Culver Academies at 5:00.
