Lady Bombers Serve Up Success and Battle to the Finals at WCJC Tournament! The Lady Bombers brought the heat this weekend at the WCJC Volleyball Tournament, showing just how far they've come as a team! Though I only have the serving stats to share, those numbers wouldn't exist without the flawless execution of our offense and defense. Today, the Bombers were in sync, covering the court and playing their game to perfection. We kicked off the day with a smart strategy against Tecumseh, targeting their powerhouse #8. Our game plan paid off, as we capitalized on her rotations off the court and secured the win in straight sets—Set 1: 25-10, Set 2: 25-18. Next up was a rematch against Twin Lakes, a team that had handed us an early-season loss. But the Bombers have grown tremendously since that first showdown. We've sharpened our defense, boosted our offense, and found our rhythm on the court. With pure determination, we flipped the script and claimed victory this time around, taking Set 1: 25-20 and Set 2: 25-17. This win catapulted us into the championship game against the Benton Central Lady Bison. The championship match saw the Bombers fired up and ready to play. In Set 1, we played with grit and determination, showing strong coverage and great communication. Although we narrowly lost 22-25, we played a phenomenal set. Unfortunately, Set 2 saw the Bombers lose some confidence, and despite encouragement from the crowd and coach, we couldn’t regain momentum, losing 13-25. Serving Stats: Taylor Weems was on fire at the service line, going a flawless 26/26 with 3 sizzling aces. Brynnlee Dunlap kept the heat coming with a perfect 12/12 and 2 aces. Aela Ademi stepped up with an impressive 15/16 and 1 ace to keep the Bomber offense flying. Brynlee Urbano nailed her serves, going 12/13 with 1 ace. Quinn Chapman brought the power, going 6/7 with 3 aces that shook up the other side. Aubrey Luttrell contributed solidly with 4/5 serves to round out the team's stellar performance. With a record now standing at 6-6, I couldn’t be prouder of these young athletes. They’ve worked so hard, growing as individuals and as a team. Their growth this season has been tremendous, and it’s been incredible to witness how much they’ve gelled as a team, both in their technical skills and their ability to work together. To watch them improve each game has been an absolute joy. They are true Bombers through and through, never backing down from a challenge. The Lady Bombers will be back in action on Monday as they host the West Central Trojans. Let’s keep that Bomber spirit alive! Fantastic Job today Lady Bomber's!!!!!!!!
