Kaiden Romero-Hembree was brilliant on the hill on Thursday, as Romero-Hembree threw a no-hitter to lead Salem Varsity Lions past Corydon Central 5-0. Salem Varsity Lions got on the board in the fourth inning after an error scored two runs. Kylor Vest started on the bump for Corydon Central. The hurler allowed three hits and five runs (two earned) over six innings, striking out nine and walking four. DJ Ward and Romero-Hembree were a one-two punch in the lineup, as each drove in one run for Salem Varsity Lions. Landon Irwin, Ward, and Romero-Hembree each collected one hit for Salem Varsity Lions. Salem Varsity Lions will travel to Southwestern for their next game on Saturday.
