TC BOYS JV BASKETBALL PULLS AWAY LATE FOR WIN OVER WALDRON. A dominant fourth quarter propelled the Triton Central junior varsity boys basketball team to a 61-45 home victory over Waldron on Thursday night, pushing the Tigers to 2-1 on the season. Waldron led 14-12 after one quarter and held a narrow 31-29 advantage at halftime as both teams traded buckets in the opening 16 minutes. The Tigers found their rhythm out of the break. Strong defensive pressure and improved ball movement helped Triton Central surge ahead 43-39 by the end of the third quarter. From there, the Tigers took full control, outscoring Waldron 18-6 in the final frame to secure the double-digit win. Dylan Showalter paced Triton Central with a game-high 16 points. Landon Bailey added 13 points, while Owen Hornberger chipped in 10 to give TC three players in double figures. Chase Calderone finished with 9 points, followed by Conner Eubanks with 6, Jayden Abplanalp with 4, Julius Schlottmann with 2, and Hudson Reichanadter with 1 to round out the scoring effort. Triton Central returns to action Saturday at home, hosting Southwestern in a 6 PM JV tipoff.
