TC BOYS BASKETBALL SWEEPS SOUTHWESTERN. Triton Central boys basketball delivered a clean sweep on its home floor Saturday night, as both the varsity and junior varsity squads powered past Southwestern with convincing victories. The varsity Tigers rolled to a 68–20 win, while the JV team followed with a strong 59–27 triumph. Both squads now stand at 3–1 on the season. Varsity: Triton Central 68, Southwestern 20 From the opening tip, Triton Central controlled the game early with a commanding 20–2 lead after the first quarter. By halftime, the margin had grown to 42–5. The Tigers continued to dominate on both ends coming out of the break, outscoring the Spartans 16–9 in the third quarter to stretch the advantage to 58–14. With the game well in hand, Triton Central closed out the final frame comfortably and secured its third win of the season. Eli Sego again led the charge with 15 points, while Jackson Faust added 12 and Chase Calderone delivered a strong 11-point performance. Henry Kemper finished with nine points, and Dylan Showalter, Grant Long, and Brody Hartman each contributed 3 points. Conner McClure and Brayden Hoover scored four apiece, and Dominic Moore and Jayden Abplanalp rounded out the scoring with two points each. JV: Triton Central 59, Southwestern 27 The JV Tigers also earned their third win of the year. After an 18–11 opening quarter, Triton Central clamped down defensively, allowing just two points in the second period to take a 36–13 halftime lead. The Tigers maintained control throughout the second half, building their advantage to 27 points by the end of the third and finishing off the 32-point victory. Landon Bailey paced the JV squad with an impressive 18-point night, while Dominic Moore added nine and Owen Hornberger contributed seven. Jayden Abplanalp and Conner Eubanks each scored six, with Dylan Showalter adding four. Hudson Reichanadter scored five, Julius Schlottmann added two, and Brayden Davis chipped in two as well. Up Next: Triton Central hits the road Friday for its Hoosier Legends Conference opener at Tri-West. The JV will tip off at 6 PM, followed by the varsity showdown at 7:30 PM.
