TC BASEBALL FALLS TO EASTERN HANCOCK. Triton Central was held in check offensively Friday night, falling 8-1 on the road to Eastern Hancock. The game remained scoreless through the first inning before Eastern Hancock broke through with a four-run second inning to seize control early. After several quiet frames, the Royals added four more runs in the sixth to extend their lead and put the game out of reach. Triton Central managed just one run on six hits in the contest, with its lone run coming in the top of the seventh inning. Kellan Dishman led the way at the plate with a perfect 3-for-3 performance, accounting for half of the Tigers’ hits. Bo West, Kail Slaughter, and Brody Hartman each added a hit, while Ty Bergman drove in the team’s only run. On the mound, Rylan Anderson tossed 2.1 scoreless innings while allowing just two hits and striking out two. Nash Durbin took the loss after surrendering four runs (three earned) in 1.2 innings of work. Brody Hartman added two innings, allowing four runs (three earned). Despite the loss, the Tigers showed solid defensive moments, committing just one error on the night. With the loss, Triton Central falls to 1-6 on the season. The Tigers will look to bounce back Monday night as they return home to face North Decatur. First pitch is scheduled for 5:30 PM.
