TC TRACK & FIELD COMPETES AT PARK TUDOR SMALL SCHOOL SHOWCASE. Facing a highly competitive field Friday night at the Park Tudor Small School Showcase, Triton Central track & field battled through strong competition, with both squads turning in notable performances despite finishing outside the top spots. In the girls meet, Triton Central placed eighth overall, while Heritage Christian claimed the team title. Despite the team finish, the Tigers delivered one of their top moments on the track in the 4x100-meter relay. The quartet of Layla Compton, Kaylynn Tremblett, Ryn West, and Farah Coen raced to a second-place finish, coming within less than a second of breaking the school record. On the boys side, Triton Central finished seventh in the team standings, with Heritage Christian also taking the top spot. The Tigers were led by a strong showing in the 800-meter sprint medley relay. The team of Braden Brown, Judea Holt, Landon Slone, and Zeke Robertson put together an impressive race to finish second against a deep field. Robertson continued his standout season by also earning a second-place finish in the 300-meter hurdles, proving once again to be one of Triton Central’s most consistent performers. In the field events, Kye West delivered a personal best performance in the shot put, recording a season-best throw of 42 feet, 7.5 inches. His mark ranks as the third-best distance for the Tigers this season, adding another highlight to the night. The Tigers will look to build on those performances when they return to action Monday night at Waldron, with events scheduled to begin at 5 PM.
