TC BASEBALL WINS AT HOME VS NORTH DECATUR. Triton Central picked up its second win of the season Monday night, pulling away late to defeat North Decatur 7-3 at home. After falling behind 2-1 in the opening inning, the Tigers settled in and kept the game within reach through the middle frames. The turning point came in the fifth inning when Triton Central plated three runs to take the lead, followed by another three-run inning in the sixth to create separation. Triton Central finished with eight hits on the night, getting contributions throughout the lineup. Wyatt Reisman led the way with a 2-for-4 performance and two runs scored, while Bo West added a pair of hits. Weston Smith delivered a big night, scoring twice and driving in two runs, including an extra-base hit. Brody Hartman and Kellan Dishman also drove in runs, helping power the Tigers’ offensive surge in the later innings. On the mound, Brayden Hoover turned in a strong outing, earning the win after pitching six innings and allowing just three runs (two earned) while striking out 10. Cooper Alford closed the door in the seventh, tossing a scoreless inning with a strikeout. Defensively, the Tigers worked through four errors but made timely plays when needed, while taking advantage of five North Decatur errors to help fuel their offense. With the win, Triton Central improves to 2-6 on the season. The Tigers will be back in action Tuesday night at home against Speedway, with first pitch scheduled for 5:30 PM.
