TC BOYS GOLF FALLS TO EASTERN HANCOCK. Triton Central returned to The Links Golf Club Wednesday night for a home matchup against Eastern Hancock, but the Royals came away with the varsity victory, posting a team score of 170 compared to the Tigers’ 191. The Tigers were led by Hayden Beaver, who turned in a solid round of 44 to tie for third overall. Colton Ayres followed with a 46, while Max Crouse added a 50 and Ryder Trimble carded a 51 to round out the top scores for Triton Central’s “Green” varsity squad. Eastern Hancock was paced by medalist Parker Atkins, who fired an impressive 39, along with strong rounds from Zach Stephens (42) and Brennon Trueblood (44) to secure the team win. Triton Central’s “White” varsity group finished with a 218, led by Devon Gurganus (50) and Jackson Faust (53), while Seth Richardson (57), Corbin Beaver (58), and Chance Uhls (59) completed the lineup. On the junior varsity side, Triton Central’s JV “White” team earned first place with a 155, highlighted by Nolan Murray’s match-best 49. The JV “Green” team followed with a 174, led by Austin McVey (53) and Keegan Canter (58). Triton Central will look to bounce back when they return home Friday night to face county rival Southwestern. Tee time is set for 4:30 PM.
