TC BOYS TRACK & FIELD COMPETE AT SECTIONAL, BROWN & FAULKNER ADVANCE TO REGIONAL. The Triton Central boys track & field team competed Thursday night at the IHSAA Sectional #20 hosted by Whiteland Community High School, battling through a strong field of competition in the opening round of the state tournament series. The Tigers were led by Tevian Faulkner and Braden Brown, who each earned advancement to the IHSAA Regional #5 at Plainfield High School on May 28 at 6 PM. Faulkner qualified for regionals in the 110-meter hurdles, continuing a strong postseason run in one of the sectional’s most competitive events. Brown also punched his ticket to regionals with a qualifying performance in the 100-meter dash, showcasing his speed against a talented field of sprinters. Triton Central competed hard throughout the meet against several larger schools and deep programs from across central Indiana. The sectional served as the culmination of the team season for many Tigers athletes, while Faulkner and Brown will continue representing the program at the regional level next week. Advancing to regionals marks a major accomplishment in the IHSAA postseason format, with only the top finishers moving on to the next stage of competition. The IHSAA Regional #5 will take place Thursday evening at Plainfield High School beginning at 6 PM.
