TC VOLLEYBALL SWEEPS COMPETITION AT HAGERSTOWN INVITATIONAL. Triton Central’s varsity volleyball team turned in a strong performance Saturday, going 2-0 at the Hagerstown Invitational to push its season record above .500. The Tigers opened the day with a straight-sets victory over Richmond, winning 25-17 and 27-25. In their second match, Triton Central faced host Hagerstown in a hard-fought three-set battle. After dropping the opening set 22-25, the Tigers bounced back with a 25-19 win to even the match. In the decisive third set, TC edged out the Tigers of Hagerstown 25-23 to complete the comeback and finish the invitational undefeated. With the wins, Triton Central improved to 6-4 on the season. The Tigers return home tonight to face Waldron, with junior varsity action beginning at 5:30 PM.
