TC VOLLEYBALL SECURES WIN OVER TRINITY LUTHERAN. Triton Central volleyball picked up a strong win Thursday night, defeating Trinity Lutheran 3-1 in varsity action and sweeping the junior varsity contest. The varsity Tigers (8-4) bounced back from a sluggish second set to control the match down the stretch, earning set victories of 25-20, 25-17, and 25-21 after splitting the opening two frames. Audrey Darlage directed the offense with an impressive 31 assists, while Lucy May powered the attack with 21 kills. Defensively, Gwyn Williams anchored the back row, finishing with 24 digs to stifle Trinity Lutheran’s hitters. The junior varsity squad (5-2) continued its solid season with a dominant two-set win, 25-15, 25-13. Madison Swisher led from the service line with three aces, while Anna Kemper, Adyson Wright, and McKenzie Hoover each recorded three solo blocks at the net. Defensively, Maecy Cord collected eight digs to keep the Cougars off balance. Triton Central returns to action Saturday morning with a road test at Heritage Christian, where the JV plays at 10 AM, followed by varsity at 11 AM.
