Wabash Tennis defeats Bluffton Tennis 4-1 The Apache Netters move to 6-5 on the season with a win over Bluffton at home with a match score of 4-1. Wabash Tennis is now at the halfway point of their season. First off the court was Grant Ford, winning convincingly 6-0, 6-1 at 1 singles. Shortly after, Eli Mattern completed his match with a 6-0, 6-4 win to put Wabash ahead 2-0 at the halfway point of the head to head team match. Wabash's two doubles team, Coffman and Stout, fell in a tightly contested match 4-6, 2-6. Wabash leading the team competition 2-1 at that time needed one more point to seal the win. TJ Fritter delivered in a great comeback win (4-6, 6-1, 6-0) to give Wabash much needed point. Mattern shared: "The whole team was happy for TJ to win at 3 singles. It was a great effort from him. It would be easy to get down after losing the first set. TJ remained calm, true to his style of tennis and pulled out what is a great win for him and the team." Alex Dinkins and Cooper Long added an insurance point for the Apaches, winning in a fun (and highly competitive) match to watch 7-6 (7-1), 7-5. Wabash travels to Rochester Wednesday for a TRC Conference match.
