Wabash Middle School Girls Take 6th Place at Wildcat Classic

The Lady Apaches went just a little south to race at the 2023 Wildcat Classic hosted at Indiana Wesleyan University. The course is flat and fast, but with racing in the middle of the day, the girls had to break through mental barriers to compete to their fullest. With strong efforts, the middle school girls worked hard to fight for a strong placement amongst the 10 other teams racing. Overall, their efforts earned them a 6th place finish as a team! Coming in first for the running Apache crew was 6th grader, Teresina Cordes, running a time of 12:44 and taking 8th place overall. Second for the team was a 7th grader, Eliza Denney, running in with a time of 14:42 and taking 34th place. Coming in 38th place was another 6th grader, Sutton Stoffel, running in with a time of 15:02. Next was Kinslee McBride, a 6th grader, running in 54th place with a time of 15:50. Next for the Apache crew was Emma Cantrell, a 7th grader, running a time of 16:22 and finishing in 61st place. Kylie Mickleson, another 6th grader, followed in behind Cantrell with a time of 16:46 in 65th place.Following closely behind her was Briar Stoffel, another 6th grader. Briar completed her race in 67th place with a 16:49 time. Another 6th grader to come through was Camille Coffman with a PR of 17:15 in 71st place. Two 5th graders rounded out the team with Addilyn McBride taking the lead and finishing with a time of 21:50 and taking 84th place. Right behind her was Adelyn Edwards with her season debut of 23:12 in 85th place. There were 86 athletes total in the race. Next up for the MS Apaches is West Noble for the Chuck Schlemmer Memorial Invitational.
