The Lady Apaches had their first and only meet their own home course on Tuesday night. The running Lady Apaches toed the line with two other teams, ready to compete. Knowing the hilly course like the back of their hands, the Apaches ran the slopes with tenacity. Hitting mile one and two hard, the Apaches knew that the 3rd mile was all up and down to get to the finish and continued to push forward. One at a time, the Apaches came in to the chute, leaving a streak of white and orange from places three through ten. Wrapping up the night, the Lady Apaches walked away with some hardware, taking first place. First for the Lady Apaches was our junior, Ivy Beamer, coming in with a 23:58 time and taking 3rd place. Close behind her was Calisen Kugler, a senior, with a 24:00 time and a 4th place finish. Next was freshman, Mallory Tart, with a time of 24:16 and crossing the line in 5th place. Following in was Haylee Friend, a sophomore, running a time of 24:26 and placing 6th overall. Next up was Mia Fairchild, a freshman, placing 7th overall with a time of 24:30. Rinka Higuera, a freshman, came in behind Fairchild with a PR time of 25:24 and placing 8th in the line up. Sophomore, Maya Howard, ran a time of 26:10 and placing 9th overall. Right behind her was Josie Bailey, a freshman, who finished up for the running Apaches with a time of 27:08 and a 10th place finish. The Lady Apaches will be off this weekend in preparation for Conference the following week!
